Service Description

STEM Engineering Lab: Laser Design & Robotics is a 6-week hands-on course for students in grades 3–5 focused on engineering systems, logic, and applied math. Students work with pre-cut laser designs to assemble wooden car tracks and structures, then scale, adapt, and redesign those systems to function with robotic vehicles. Learners explore path design, patterns, motion, speed, turns, and obstacles while testing and refining their builds through trial and error. Throughout the course, students use measurement, ratios, and spatial reasoning to modify designs, document changes on a whiteboard, and explain engineering decisions. Screen-free robotics are introduced using pattern-following vehicles to demonstrate early coding concepts without devices. All materials are included. This course emphasizes creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, and real-world STEM skills. Enrollment Policy: Enrollment closes 30 days before the start date. A minimum of 4 participants is required. If the minimum is not met, families may transfer to a future session or receive a full refund.
